The program consists of academic and professional components. The academic components provide students with opportunities to develop a broad liberal education and to study language and language learning from linguistic, social, cultural and psychological perspectives. The professional components support school-based field experiences which are enhanced by studies in pedagogy and educational foundations.

Students will investigate the mind-body connection, the use of movement as an educational and therapeutic tool and explore ways to plan and implement rich and appropriate indoor and outdoor movement programs and activities for young children.
The development of advanced technical and theoretical expertise in coaching, including prevention and recovery, leading drug free sport, developing athletic abilities, and designing a basic sport program.
TESL Diploma program (30 credits) is offered for teachers interested in teaching ESL in BC schools or other settings.
