Under his visionary leadership, Metro Group of Hospitals established Metro College of Health Sciences & Research and Metro College of Nursing, under the dynamic direction of Dr. Sonia Lal Gupta, MD-MCHSR & Director-Metro Group of Hospitals, currently offers 20 courses for students who want to build their career in different sections of healthcare.

Dr. Sonia Lal Gupta is a US trained, highly qualified; Board-Certified Neurologist specialized in Headache Medicine and Vascular Neurology. She is a Visiting Professor at New York Medical College, USA. She is board certified by American Boards including Neurology, Vascular Neurology, Neurosonology and Headache Medicine. She did her MBA in Healthcare Management from George Washington University. She was awarded the“Neurologist of the Year” at the India Health and Wellness Summit by the Union Health Minister in December 2014. She has also received the Times Healthcare’s “Young Achievers Award” in 2017 from Johns Hopkins University. Recently, she has been awarded with the Financial Express Visionary Leadership Award (FE Visionary Leaders) at the second edition of the Financial Express Digital Health Conclave.

Metro college of Nursing is offering various nursing & paramedical courses such as M.S.c Nursing, B.Sc Nursing, P.B.B.S.c Nursing, GNM, ANM and Paramedical Programme that offers five diploma specializations such as Diplomas in Cardiology Technician, Diploma in CT Technician, Diploma in OT Technician, Diploma in Dialysis Technician and Diploma in Optometry Technician. 

Our institution is affiliated with Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi (INC), UP State Medical Faculty, Lucknow (UPSMF), Chaudhary Charan Singh University (CCSU), Meerut and Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University, Lucknow (ABVMU). In our college students are guided by highly qualified faculty and students are exposed to modern classrooms, well equipped labs, and a library which contains all the reference books including journals.

Our students are getting training opportunity in various clinical settings, in our parent hospitals-Metro Group of Hospitals, is a group of 11 hospitals having more than 2500 beds flourishing hospitals and leading one of the biggest group of hospitals in India, in Government Hospitals and other specialty hospitals Delhi NCR and in community settings like Community Health centers (CHC) and Primary Health Center (PHC).

Students are also getting opportunities for educational visits like Milk Plant, Tire factory, Blind school, water purification plant, Sewage Treatment Plant, Old age Home etc. Metro college of Nursing is focusing not only on curricular activities but also simultaneously enhancing the co-curricular and extracurricular activities also to provide their services for the nation in future.
