Course Details

This course allows you to pursue a career in both the hospitality and tourism industries. It reflects the international character of hospitality and tourism management, and has been designed to meet the needs of the industry which requires managers with good management skills.

Similar to our BA (Hons) International Hospitality Management, you'll study the principles of hospitality management, specialising in tourism. You'll apply this knowledge to practical situations on an industry-based work placement or live project, preparing you for a career in the hospitality and tourism industries.

Alternatively you can choose to study abroad through our international exchange links in Europe and the USA.

You'll learn practical skills in hotels, visitor attactions, tourist destinations and restaurants, as well as developing transferable skills in research, academic writing, communication and interpersonal relations, presentation and time management.

This course is studied full-time over four years. You'll learn by a variety of teaching methods including lectures, tutorials and independent study. There is a work placement option in Year 3.

 

What are the entry requirements for International Hospitality Management and Tourism?

Our entry requirements indicate both Standard and Minimum qualifications with which we normally accept students. Competition for places varies from year to year and you aren't guaranteed a place if you meet the minimum qualifications.  Please note this course allows for Year 4 entry only.
