Performing arts integrates study of music and dance practices through theory and practice. These two practical fields combine to bring out an amalgamation of ideas and concepts across the fields which can be seen in the area of Therapy (Drama, Dance and Music Therapy) and in terms of addressing the performance based anxiety that can hamper the individual’s true potential.
At the end of the third year the students are provided with an opportunity to excel in either of the fields by choosing the honours track in Psychology or Performing Arts. Upon completion a wide range of opportunities for the student to excel in their areas of interest and develop the skills required to propel their future career.
Kristu Jayanti College, founded in 1999, is run by "BODHI NIKETAN TRUST", formed by the members of St. Joseph Province of the Carmelites of Mary Immaculate (CMI). The college is affiliated to Bengaluru North University and is reaccredited with 'A++' grade by NAAC in the Third Cycle of Accreditation in 2021. The college is recognized by UGC under the category 2(f) & 12(B). The college functions as an autonomous institution since 2013, sanctioned by the University Grants Commission, Government of Karnataka & the Bangalore University.

In late 1990’s majority of higher educational institutions were found in the southern and eastern parts of Bangalore.
