Course Details

This course is designed for responsible adolescents of 11 years and up who want to become a babysitter or may already be one.

Red Cross Babysitter courses cover the responsibilities of a babysitter, safety tips for children of all ages, feeding and diapering babies, basic child care skills, and what to do in case of an emergency.

Basic first-aid is also covered with rescue-breathing, choking, cuts, burn, etc. Each student will receive a Red Cross babysitter's manual, and a Red Cross Babysitter's completion card.

Certifications Earned

Upon successful completion of this program you will have earned the following tickets:

  • Canadian Red Cross Babysitters Certificate

 

Additional Information

The course is taught by a Red Cross Youth Leader

The course is conducted 100% in class with an instructor while maintaining all safety requirements and social distancing requirements.

Candidates must bring Peanut-free snacks and lunch, a small soft doll or teddy bear, indoor shoes, and pen/paper.
