Goodman’s Bachelor of Accounting (BAcc) program has been designed specifically for future accountants, and has rigorous academic courses integrated with a professional orientation.
The program has limited enrollment and is offered as a four-year honours program with a co-op option. Our BAcc co-op program will prepare you to obtain a public accounting license. Our co-op students work in a wide variety of locations throughout Ontario and may acquire 16 to 20 months of practical work experience towards the CPA designation.
To provide our students with the skills they need to meet changing industry demands, we are continuously looking to align our programs to industry needs. Recent changes to our BAcc program prepare our students to meet the challenge of disruptive technology.
Goodman provides one of the fastest tracks to the CPA designation. When you take our Bachelor of Accounting (BAcc) and Master of Accountancy (MAcc) programs, you’ll learn everything you need to successfully complete the Common Final Exam (CFE).
If you complete the BAcc program, you have two options:

For students majoring in other disciplines, we also offer Minor Programs in French Studies, German, Hispanic and Latin American Studies and Italian Studies. The Department has additional language courses in Classic Arabic, Japanese, Mandarin, Russian and Kiswahili.
Contact the Department for more information about these courses. The Department does not recognize a challenge for credit and does not give Brock credits for online or long-distance courses offered by other institutions.
This curriculum teaches accounting frameworks, concepts, and principles. Students can utilize accounting software for small enterprises (QuickBooks, SAGE 50) to multinational corporations.
The Applied Accounting program gives you the necessary skills for a career providing entry-level accounting support. While this program focuses on fundamental accounting skills, you will also build skills in mathematics, general business practices, professional communication and business software.
This program offers solid theoretical and technical training in accounting which allows the student to adapt to the demands of the job market. The internship, which takes place in the third year, provides the opportunity to put the knowledge acquired into practice.

Anyone planning to enter the accounting or payroll fields must have good computer skills and be familiar with computerized accounting and automated payroll systems.
