Bachelor of Arts (Economics Major)

The BA basic requirements are an overall average of 60% in at least three courses in economics taken in the first two years and an overall average of 60% in at least two courses in economics taken in the third year. Courses will be chosen in consultation with the Department.

First Year:

• Economics 1100
• One FCE from  Type A or from History or Mathematics
• One FCE from Type B
• One-half FCE from Type E course list
• One and one-half FCE electives

Second Year:

• Economics 2017, 2037 and 2203
• One FCE from Type B (Economics allowed)
• Two FCE electives (Economics excluded)

Third Year:

• Two FCEs in economics at the third or fourth year levels
• One FCE from Type B (Economics allowed)
• Two FCE electives (Economics excluded)

Note: The Indigenous Content Requirement is being met by the inclusion of 0.5 FCE chosen from the list of Type E courses taken as an elective in the first year of the program.
