The four-year bachelor of chemical engineering (bkc) programme was offered by universiti malaysia pahang since year 2002 is an accredited programme by engineering accreditation council (eac), board of engineers malaysia under the washington accord. The bkc programme aims to educate potential engineers to design, develop, and operate chemical processes by which chemicals, petroleum products, food, polymers, pharmaceuticals and consumer goods can be produced in a safe and sustainable way.
Chemical processes involve reactions, heat transfer, separations and biological phenomena. The BKC programme also provides exposure to aspects of humanities and social sciences through subjects such as English language and foreign languages, entrepreneurship, economics, management and other non-engineering subjects.

Welcome to Faculty of Chemical and Process Engineering Technology
The Faculty of Chemical and Process Engineering Technology (FTKKP) of UMPSA was established in 2002 with the aim of providing engineering programmes in the field of chemical engineering and technology. The faculty is also tasked to embark on research and development activities, particularly in the area of fine and specialty chemicals, chemical process up-scaling and biotechnology and gas technology-related processes in order to generate expertise relevant to the needs of the industry.
Our Mission
Vision
The programme is a professional degree that is highly regarded and marketable that prepares undergraduate students for the employment in chemical related industries or graduate study. This programme has been designed specifically to address the needs of various chemical related industries for knowl...
Chemical Engineering (ChE) is a well-recognized branch of engineering that applies the core scientific principles of chemistry, physics, biology, and mathematics to transform raw materials into useful or valuable end-products. ChE covers the development, design, and operation of chemical processing
Many everyday items involve chemical engineering during some stage of their production – electronic devices, food and beverage, petrol, paper, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, to name just a few. As a chemical engineer, you'll invent, develop and design processes that convert raw materials into useful...
Others such as fertilizers, drinking water, cooking oils, packaged foods, medicines and vaccines all have to be produced in large amounts, and here chemical engineers come in. The chips that run our handphones are designed by electronic engineers, but chemical engineers make them in large quantitie...
Chemical engineers create and develop processes for large-scale production of value-added products from cheap raw materials, in an economical, safe and environment-friendly manner. Drawing from the long and rich experience of manipal engineering education and taking into account the needs of indust...
