Course Details

This honours degree has been designed for the automotive industry in response to the shortfall of mechanical engineers. It is for those who have a strong interest in mechanical engineering and a clear desire to develop their knowledge and skills in automotive engineering.

Students will be encouraged to work and learn more independently. We are not only preparing you to be a knowledgeable practitioner, but we are also preparing you to become a reliable and independent problem solver.

In final year of the degree, the first semester is generally focused on developing specific automotive knowledge. Your individual project will allow you to specialise further in a field of your choice. At the end of this, you will become an engineer ready for the industry!

Minimum Entry Requirements

  • STPM – 2.0 CGPA with credit in Mathematics and Science related subject
  • UEC – with a minimum of 5 grade Bs including Mathematics and Science related subject
  • Matriculation or Foundation – 2.00 CGPA or CGPA 2.00 Diploma (Level 4) in Engineering/ Engineering Technology
  • Diploma in Vocational – with a minimum 2.00 CGPA
  • Pass Pearson BTEC HND Level 5 in Automotive Engineering
  • Pass Pearson BTEC HND Level 5 in Mechanical Engineering
  • Other equivalent qualifications as recognised by Malaysia Government
