Interior design today has evolved to be as much science as art. The mission of the Bachelor of Interior Design (Honours) program is to provide you with the theoretical, practical and technical skills that reflect the profession of Interior Design.

Through a comprehensive curriculum, delivered by an interdisciplinary faculty, you will be able to apply an integrated approach to interior design solutions for the built environment and its occupants.

This program will support you to meet demands of technological changes and currency with respect to sustainability, universal design, and health and safety.

Through project-based learning, the Bachelor of Interior Design (Honours) will provide you with the professional training required for developing creative design solutions for interior spaces such as residential, corporate/commercial, retail, institutional, healthcare, hospitality/entertainment, and exposition.

You will study the range of functional and aesthetic components that allow spaces in the built environment to be safely and comfortably inhabited, while considering ergonomics, illumination, acoustics, finishes, safety, and all aspects of space programming.

Designing and creating sustainable interiors, managing interior design projects, and working in a team of professionals that includes architects, engineers and contractors, all require the solid technical education that is provided to you through Conestoga's Bachelor of Interior Design (Honours).

There are two (2) paid co-op work term opportunities to complement your academic studies and provide valuable practical experiences. You will be fully prepared for the realities of new and emerging technologies and for great careers in interior design.

The Bachelor of Interior Design (Honours) degree is accredited by the Council for Interior Design Accreditation (CIDA), www.accredit-id.org, 206 Cesar E. Chavez Ave SW, Suite 350, Grand Rapids, MI 49503-4014.
