Course Details

Cybercrime has quickly risen to become a top-level national security priority across the globe. Increasing the protection of data security, as well as reducing the impact of a network or database security breach, are the key challenges for it security specialists. 

  • In this Degree programme, you will gain a solid foundation of the theoretical and practical aspects of different dimensions of cyber security, such as network security, software security, system security measures and models, information security, computer forensics, penetration testing and vulnerability assessment.
  • You will learn how to forensically examine digital evidence, identify and respond to threats and information security incidents, and develop the digital forensic and critical thinking skills to solve computer crime.
  • In the final year of your programme, you will take part in an IT Professional Practice Project module. This will include working in a team with other students, and consulting with real clients to recommend, develop and implement new technologies to solve cyber security problems.
  • Students have the option to enrol in either Single or Double Majors.

Graduation & Degree Awarded

  • Students who successfully complete and pass the modules stipulated in the programme structure will be awarded the Bachelor of Information Technology in Cyber Security and Forensics from Murdoch University, Australia.
  • The Degree will be the same as that awarded to the on-campus graduates in Australia.

Delivery Mode

Part-time Programme

  • Students will attend a combination of lectures, tutorials, and workshops in this programme, and they have the flexibility to plan their study schedule and attend classes once or twice a week depending on their study load. Classes are conducted online and face-to-face (blended learning) on weekday evenings or weekends to suit the busy schedules of students enrolled in this programme. Lectures are recorded to give students extra academic support and enhance their learning experience.
  • The Pro Vice-Chancellor of Transnational Education and Singapore Dean at Murdoch University is based in Singapore to oversee all academic aspects and to ensure a high standard of academic delivery.

Full-time Programme
