The programme has been developed in response to the requirements of fast evolving industry in mechanical engineering. The programmes is designed with an emphasis on practical application that would enable students to apply new knowledge in the real-world.
It concentrates on the mechanical engineering to provide the substantial knowledge and skills for future engineers in related areas and applications. The programme goes through a periodical review to ensure the continual suitability and relevance to the need of the market industry.
The programmes have been practiced with the Outcome Based Education (OBE) philosophy. This is to ensure the graduates are not only equipped with sufficient engineering knowledge, but also strengthening their individual soft-skills. The engineering programme is accredited by the Malaysian Engineering Accreditation Council (EAC), certified by the Board of Engineers, Malaysia (BEM). In line with the University's mission to produce and train professionals with competitive and noble attitude, students will be guided by professional and dedicated lecturers.
Programmes offered will satisfy the core of mechanical engineering by focusing on specific areas such as mechanical, automation, production, computational, plant, automotive, manufacturing, industrial, materials, design, energy, building services, oil and gas industry. To enhance students’ understanding and creativity, Faculty’s laboratories are equipped with the latest technology equipments and well trained technicians. Students will also undergo practical work in the field related to the needs of industry.
Course Aims
The Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering with Honours programme prepares graduates who are capable to:
You Will Be The Next
Mechanical engineers learn about materials, statics and dynamics, solid and fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, control engineering, industrial engineering, instrumentation and design. It also covers designing and manufacturing everything from small individual parts to large systems such as airplanes ...
The programme aims to develop students with both technical skill and theoretical knowledge in mechanical engineering. Students will gain insight in thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, hydraulics & pneumatics and also applied mechanics.
This programme offers a comprehensive range of core engineering science courses and practical projects to ensure it is highly integrated and industry-relevant. As they progress, students will be well-equipped to not only design mechanical components and systems but also solve engineering problems b...
As a mechanical engineer, you might design automatic control systems or take charge of the operation of a smart building. You could manage the water supply for a whole state and design wind turbines or highly efficient, low-cost products for the developing world.
Students will understand the basic principles of engineering in the areas of instrumentation and measurement, engineering design, engineering materials and manufacturing technology. Other modules aim to provide the basic academic skills required to meet the demands of employers, as well as thorough
