Bachelor of Science (Honours) Data Science

This bachelor of science (honours) data science aims to provide students with a comprehensive grounding in the knowledge and expertise expected of data engineers and data scientists. The curriculum is designed such that students are provided with a thorough exposure to the fundamental mathematical, statistical, and algorithmic principles underpinning data science.

This practical Data Science Degree provides students with current industry-standard software and hardware platforms and develop a competence in communicating technical findings to various stakeholders. Students will learn about the underlying tech in bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, specialised programming languages used for machine learning and AI, and code their own blockchain using high-level programming language. Students will also develop the ability to approach problem-solving activities using mathematical and statistical insight, identify the most appropriate technical solutions using software and hardware and critically assess solution outcomes.
