In order to enhance their training as visionary human resources, key skills identified in the Media Communication program include, writing news and articles for news portals, newspapers, magazines and press releases; writing scripts and publishing radio programs and community service (PSA) messages; writing scripts and publishing documentaries, television shows and short videos; doing coverage as a broadcast journalist and stand-upmanship; becoming a DJ and conducting radio broadcasts; and conducting academic research studies in the field of media and communication studies.

Since its establishment on May 18, 1970, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) has not only fulfilled the vision of its founding fathers to accord Bahasa Melayu as the language of learning and scholarship but has also successfully produced intellectuals and scholars who are among the nation’s pride.
