  • Kathleen Henry has many years of experience teaching children and adults of all ages in ballet and acting. She has taught in California for San Jose Ballet, Santa Cruz Ballet Theatre, and Ballet Arts Centre. In Winnipeg for the Royal Winnipeg Ballet, Contemporary Dancers Canada and Manitoba Theatre for Young People. Her directing credits are extensive and have mainly focused on children's theatre and dance. She has directed and choreographed theatre productions and ballets in California at the Henry Mello Performing Arts Centre, Shakespeare Santa Cruz, and San Jose Performing Arts Centre. Kathleen was performance director for a children's television show on Discovery Channel. She has written and directed in film. Kathleen served as the artistic director for Santa Cruz Performing Arts Alliance in California, working with Shakespeare Santa Cruz. Kathleen studied her dance training with the Royal Winnipeg Ballet, Contemporary Dancers, York University, and with Kristine Elliot (Former Soloist with American Ballet Theatre). Kathleen also holds a degree in Theatre and Film from the University of Winnipeg.

Attitudes In Dance Logo

Pointe (Age 12+)

After an appropriate amount of Ballet is studied, dancers may begin training “en pointe”. Dancing in toe shoes requires strength and correct body alignment. Dancers must be at least 12 years of age and have instructor’s approval.
