The Rigging Academy of SA (Pty) Ltd was opened in May 2007 in Durban, after Machine Moving & Engineering recognized the skills shortage in qualified riggers in South Africa, our NAMB Accredited trade test centre in 2010.

MME’s equipment is made available to the training academy, which means that it is one of the best equipped training centres in SA in the field of mechanical material handling.
All training personnel are qualified Red Seal Riggers, certified NAMB Trade Test Assessment Practitioners, Assessors and Moderators trained to meet the levels of specialised training required, they have done the necessary additional courses in occupational health & safety, first aid, lifting machinery inspection etc.
Working at Heights training is offered by Gear Industries Sifundisa Safety. We offer SAQA Unit standard aligned legal-compliance & accredited skills development training.
Front-end Loader truck training is a 10-day course. We train you in both theory and practicals including safety checks, maintenance, and operation of the Front-end loader.
Overhead Crane training is offered by BJS Risk Assessment & Forklift Training. BJS Risk Assessment and Training is known for skills training of excellent quality.
Monitor and make recommendations on the application of health and safety principles regarding lifting equipment in the work place.
