Your School of Beauty Culture, then known as Mildred's Beauty College, originated on the West Side of Chicago, IL on June 1st, 1966.
Mildred's Beauty College operated successfully from 1966 - 1979 until the founder, Dr. Mildred Dixon, fell ill. After graduating more than 1,200 cosmetologists.
In 1980, Dr. Dixon decided to temporarily close her business to get her health in order. In 1988, due to the overwhelming request from former students, clients, and aspiring stylists Dr. Dixon re-opened her school and in honor of the community.
And their support she renamed it "Your School of Beauty Culture". In 1997, Your School of Beauty Culture moved to its present location in the Chicago's historic Bronzeville community and continues to add to its success.
Licensed professional Barbers shampoo, cut, style, and can provide a variety of chemical services (coloring, relaxers, ect.) . They shave, cut beards and mustaches. They also give facial massages and hair and scalp treatments.
The program will ensure that basic skills to more advanced skills are gained, as individuals proceed through the course. The course also ensures that students are also trained and prepared in State Board licensing applications and evaluations
We provide bespoke courses to train you into a professional barber that mastered the art of cutting hair and shaving beards.
1100 Hours of Technical Instruction and Practical Training in Hair Dressing Hairstyling (65 hours of Technical Instruction and 240 Practical Operations): Permanent Waving and Chemical Straightening (40 hours of Technical Instruction and 105 Practical Operations) and so much more.
As a student of Z Hair Academy, you will not only practice techniques during class but also on real clients from the community in one of our student salons. This allows you to both practice your techniques and improve your ability to communicate effectively with clients.
