The Sae Estrie was born in 2019 from the merger of the business services of the school service centers of the Région-de-Sherbrooke, Hauts-Cantons, Sommets and the Eastern Townships School Board and since 2022 the Center de Val-des-Cerfs school services.

Finance and Accounting Fundamentals offers a basic introduction to accounting or finance principles. Students learn about accounting principles and processes, how financial statements are created, and how to analyze and plan for the financial health of a business.
The objective of this program is to provide students with an understanding of business concepts. During training, students will gain the necessary computerized accounting and office skills.
To learn a foreign language like Accounting, you need quite a bit of practice in the basic foundations (grammar, syntax, idioms, etc.)
This course introduces journalizing, posting to the ledgers, completing a trial balance, adjusting and closing entries and preparing financial statements. The complete accounting cycle for a service business will be studied.
In this course, students are introduced to basic accounting fundamentals and work with a complete set of books for a sole proprietor. Students explore the steps in the accounting cycle as well as effective internal financial controls.
