Basic Business Accounting

This course aims to provide participants with basic bookkeeping skills, and to enable participants to extract required financial information from, and interpret, financial statements.

Course Outcomes:

• Master accounting terms and principles as well as role-players and business entities
• Understand cash book receipts, payments tax and bank reconciliations, and debtors and creditors ledger and reconciliations
• Apply the accounting equation to the formulation of trial balances and statements
• Interpret and extract valuable information from financial reports and business accounting statements
