This firearms training course focuses on basic defensive handgun philosophy and basic gun-handling skills with a semi-automatic pistol. Students will establish a solid shooting platform upon which to build.
This course is specifically designed to assist students with skill development and use of the semi-automatic pistol for personal protection.
Questions we will address
What gun should you buy? When can you legally use deadly force? What are the laws regarding carrying and transporting a firearm? How to use the firearm when needed, and what are the consequences with the local law enforcement.
How to store and clean the firearm? What is the difference between the criminal system and the civil system? Home defense VS street defense? What are the different types of ammunition and firearms and which one will work best for you?
Magen Tactical Defense (“Magen”) was established in 2012 by a reserve lieutenant from the Israeli Defense Forces who is the leading expert in Active Shooter Response Training (ASRT) and security vulnerability assessment and emergency procedures. Magen offers active shooter response training.
Krav maga self-defense training, counter terrorism training, and defensive firearms training. We have the ability to travel anywhere in the world for the most Advanced Active Shooter Response Training.
We will perform a security assessment of your property, train all staff members in the dynamics of a violent workplace attack, and create an Emergency Action Plan. This training goes well beyond the typical “Run, Hide” instructions which do not work. We will teach you how to handle the situation and the aggressor both physically and mentally.
The State of Florida requires a total of 2-hours of instruction for Class Concealed Weapon "CW" permit training. At Capital Security Academy.
This is a follow-up class for Basic of Pistol Shooting (BOPS) and/or most CCW/CHL classes to reinforce the basics of shooting, along with learning to draw from a holster, shoot and re-holster safely.
We offer the course Saturday, from 8am-2pm. Occasionally, we will offer a class on an alternate day, so call ahead for availability. There is a maximum number of twelve students in each class, which are held in our on site classroom.
