DurationThe Basic Filmmaking Workshop is a series of workshops held over a 2-month period during evenings and some weekends, and provides an intensive introduction to independent filmmaking.
All steps and processes are covered from creative conception to the final cut – including the basics of screenwriting, directing, camera operation, lighting, sound and film editing.
During the course, the participants will be exposed to the process of shooting and editing a short film and short video.
*Note: This in-person workshop is limited to 10 participants. While masks are no longer required to be worn in indoor public spaces in Manitoba, individuals are recommended to wear a mask in our Production Centre.

The Acting: Film, Television & Voice-Over program provides students with the skills they need to be able to effectively perform in the audition room, on-set, and in the voice-over studio.
The Advanced Filmmaking program gives you the practical skills and knowledge you need to join the film and television industry in a variety of positions.
By the end of this course, students will know everything that goes into making a movie, and will have excellent insight into producing.
Our Film and Video Production Program guides you through the complete creation of a short video, travelling step-by-step through the structural stages of filmmaking.
If you want to make films but lack the track record to attract major funding, this course is for you.
