The content is similar to that of a level 2 food hygiene certificate without some of the kitchen management elements. Delegates will learn about the law, contamination. Food poisoning, personal precautions, food storage & preparation, cooking & service, temperature control & pest control.

The Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering is a qualification aimed at caterers and other food handlers. The qualification is intended for learners already working in catering and those who are preparing to work in the industry.
