Projects:
Summer Shorts or PJ Shorts
Basic blouse with sleeve options, and optional color blocking
Circle Skirt with a zipper and pockets.
Skills you will learn:
Read patterns
Take body measurements
Adjust patterns to your size/height
Sew a button, button hole, and zipper
Basic pattern drafting
Sew side seam pockets and patch pockets
Class Requirements
Sewing 101 or prior sewing machine experience

If you can count, you can cross stitch! Show your love for Chicago with this cute version of our hometown skyline! The Three-hour workshop will give you the skills to read a pattern and sew directly on to a blank fabric palette to create your own project. All materials are included.
Learn how to sew and design your own clothes at Making It SewFun for teens ages 13-17. We'll cover all the basics and then progressively move into more advanced techniques.
Always wanted to learn how to quilt? Ready to get started? Jeanne will teach you how, step by step! The first week you'll learn measuring and cutting techniques, along with nesting and stitching blocks together. The next week you'll learn the best way to add borders to your quilt.
Students will study the foundational concepts of the fashion industry. They will experience “real life” training through internships in various companies within the fashion industry.
In the Children’s Sewing Class, beginning and intermediate students will learn how to use their machine, take measurements , lay out and cut fabric, read a pattern, understand the pattern directions, finish seams and learn sewing techniques. Students will advance at their own pace.
