Skills include providing team CPR for adults, children and infants, using an AED, BVM, and relieving choking in a safe, timely and effective manner. Participants who successfully complete the BLS program will be issued a Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification.

Basic Life Support Provider CPR training is offered by Mdewakanton Public Safety. Mdewakanton Public Safety conducts trainings to enhance readiness.
This course meets the requirements for National Certification for CPR from the American Heart Association (AHA). You will learn how to respond to emergencies involving infants, children, and adults.
Basic Life Support (BLS) is the foundation for saving lives after cardiac arrest. Students learn completely in person in a combination of video driven lectures, followed by a hands-on session, and final written and skills testing before earning their CPR certification.
