A three-hour intensive session, our Basic Life Support (BLS) course trains you to recognise and manage the patient in cardiac arrest and a range of other medical emergencies.
The course includes the essential knowledge and the practical toolkit of skills that are important in the initial phase of treating an unresponsive casualty, including one that needs resuscitation.
Incisive’s BLS training is ideally suited for healthcare professionals – at all stages and levels – who may have to act as first responders and treat patients in cardiac arrest until the arrival of a cardiac arrest team.

Incisive Training is based in Hertfordshire and runs training sessions throughout the country.
Our director and founder Jim Jones, has over 30 years of first aid and health and safety experience, gained during a career of over 20 years in retail management and over 15 years as a senior officer and manager, with St John Ambulance.
This 4-hour level 2 accredited course comprising of theoretical, practical learning and testing includes the understanding of principles of; First Aid; Resuscitation; Minor injuries; Dealing with an unconscious person and Safe use of an AED. This qualification can be condensed into an annual 3-hour
This qualification is for those that are interested in, or are required to attend annual training in basic life support. While some candidates may be interested in undertaking this qualification for personal development.

Basic Life Support (AED) is offered by First Aid Course LTD. The course involves both theoretical and hands on practical training. Each successful attendee will receive a certificate that is valid for a period of 3 years.
