BLS CPR is for individuals who are working in the Health Care field and require the Health Care Provider level of CPR. The course includes all CPR skills plus advanced skills such as artificial respiration and the use of bag valve masks and AEDs.
You may also benefit from having your Basic Life Support level if you are a professional with a fire service or rescue team, a sports medicine professional, a lifeguard or a ski patroller. If you are not a first responder or medical professional, you may need CPR Level A or C.
Winnipeg First Aid offers health care provider CPR (CPR HCP) and AED courses. This is a stand-alone CPR course in which no first aid certification is included. This course is the most advanced CPR course offered by this workplace-approved provider.
AHASTI's Medical First Responder (MFR) program will teach you the essential skills required to provide first-on-scene, basic emergency care to people before Emergency Medical Services (EMS) arrives.
