This course adds a comprehensive first aid component to Basic Life Support, for students entering health care programs, and for allied health care providers (e.g. PSWs, public health caregivers).
Certifications Included:
Canadian Red Cross Basic Life Support HCP (Valid for 1 Year) +
Canadian Red Cross Standard First Aid with CPR/AED Level C (Valid for 3 Years)
Re-Certification Option:
Basic Life Support can be re-certified annually
Standard First Aid can be re-certified within 3 years

Basic Life Support (BLS) is the foundational course for healthcare professionals and trained first responders who provide care to patients in a wide variety of in-facility and prehospital settings.
CPR-HCP (Health Care Provider) also known as BLS (Basic Life Support) covers all aspects of CPR skills and theory for adult, child and infant victims, including rescue breathing (artificial respiration) and the use of AEDs and bag-valve-masks (BVM).
This course encompasses critical elements, including rapid assessment, the execution of Basic Life Support (BLS) techniques, and swift defibrillation, emphasizing the use of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs).
