Sarah Monahan, our Clinical Mandatory Trainer, has a wealth of experience of working alongside people with complex care needs, across a variety of health and social care settings.
Sarah is a qualified instructor with Nuco Training Ltd, which is an approved centre with First Aid Awards Ltd, an Ofqual regulated awarding body. All participants that complete the training, will be awarded a nationally recognised certificate.
This half day interactive training course focuses on developing the core skills to maintain life in emergency situations, for infants, children and adults. We provide the full use of range of mannikins, trainer defibrillators and interactive, practical learning aids.
Course Overview:
Action in an emergency
Primary and secondary assessment of the casualty
Cardio-pulmonary resuscitation including use of a defibrillator
Anaphylaxis recognition and treatment
Choking recognition and treatment

Practical training in-house incorporating your business systems which is designed to give you and your staff the 'confidence and competence' in management of an non-responsive, non- breathing casualty, safe use of the equipment and Basic Life Support.
The fact is, AED’s save lives. Research shows that if you can get a Defibrillator to a casualty within 3 minutes, the success rate goes up to a staggering 75%.
This course enables participants to gain a better understanding of the types, causes and treatment of a variety of ailments.
Anyone who requires to know basic Primary Care Skills of performing effective CPR combined with using an Automated External Defibrillator.
