DurationThis course is suitable for Dental and Medical Professionals, Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists who need to fulfill their annual CPD requirements for basic life support to remain compliant and anyone who wants to be able to to carry out life saving skills in an emergency.
Delegates will be able to demonstrate the core skills needed to respond to an emergency situation involving an unconscious casualty who is breathing normally and an unconscious casualty who is not breathing normally. Candidates will also be equipped with the necessary practical knowledge to perform CPR on adults, children and infants, manage a conscious and unconscious choking casualty and have an understanding of how to use AEDs. The candidate will also be equipped with the skills to use oxygen in a medical emergency.
The instructor for this course is a Nuco Qualified First Aid Instructor/Assessor who is also trained to deliver courses in Anaphylaxis and the use of Oxygen in medical emergencies.
Courses are delivered to UK Resuscitation Council guidelines.
All candidates receive a certificate on successfully completing a practical assessment.
