Once you have some photos, it's time to learn a little bit about post-production photo editing. A program like Adobe Photoshop (or Lightroom or even a free program like GIMP) can take a good photo and make it great!
Even the best professional photographers use post production programs to make their photos "pop." At first, Photoshop can feel overwhelming with its abundance of tools and menus. It is a powerful design software program, but with some training, you will see it isn't just for professionals.
With our assistance, you too will be able to create impressive, polished photography. Post production photo editing can be used to correct lighting, change colors and saturation, or to blend two photos together to get the best of both worlds (compositing). In this workshop you will learn the basic tools, a few simple and efficient ways to make corrections to images, and some fun tricks.
Some topics covered during this workshop:
I’ve always loved photographs, especially the old, faded photos of my parents, grandparents, and ancestors. Every photo is a story; some with stories lost to time. Who was this person?
What was just outside the frame? When presented with a photo we often recall details and events that preceded the photo, or what happened afterwards. Memories are sparked and come alive.
