In addition to the basic first aid skills, Basic Remote Workplace First Aid participants learn patient management in unfavourable conditions and longer-duration settings.
This includes the long-term management of an unresponsive victim, the management of neck and head injuries, and the treatment for many common workplace first aid situations.
Support texts include a standard first aid participant manual, a remote workplace first aid textbook, and a 450-page field guide that is customizable in content and branding.
This course follows the Practice Guidelines established by the Wilderness Medical Society & WSIB.

The Blended Training Program allows for a portion of the course content delivered to participants outside the classroom through online training.
The classroom portion of the course will consist of 7.5 hours and must be completed within 6 weeks of completing the online portion.
This is a one-day (8-hour) emergency first aid and CPR, level C course that is certified by the Heart and Stoke foundation.
This course is a comprehensive 2-day program designed for any common person to teach essential skills to effectively respond to medical emergencies in the workplace, home, or other settings.
The Standard First Aid course is a prerequisite for candidates registered in NLS, but this course is not restricted to aquatics candidates.
