Central Sewing Centre has been serving the San Diego and El Cajon sewing community since 1967. As San Diego’s largest industrial sewing machine dealer, we are the only sewing store with a state certified machine mechanic on staff, along with four highly qualified technicians to accommodate your service and repair needs.
Learn sewing techniques and vocabulary as you create a simple pillowcase apron. You will learn how to make a cute apron using a pillowcase and gain the understanding of simple fabric design layouts with tips and tricks to measuring, marking, pinning and basic sewing skills.
Learn basic sewing terminology and types of stitches. Learn how to set up and thread your machine. Practice sewing straight, corners/pivots, and curves and make a bookmark.
We teach children, teens and adults - beginner, intermediate and advance. Beginners - Non or very little knowledge on how to operate a sewing machine, basic stitches, basic fabric, basic patterns.
This class is for Kids aged 7-12 and of all skill levels. Supplies and sewing machines will be provided.
When in doubt, start at the very beginning. This course is designed to give novice stitchers a comprehensive foundation in machine sewing. Students will graduate with the skills they need to make a project from start to finish, and will gain the confidence to begin tackling anything.
