Our community courses are free and to be eligible to join this course you must:
live in Glasgow
be not working, claiming benefits or on a low income
be over the age of 16
As part of the Young Person’s Guarantee, priority will be given to young people aged between 16-24 who also meet the additional criteria.

We can chat through how classes work and what projects you will sew. Once you are ready to start, we’ll check availability and book you in to your first machine sewing class! Classes run Wednesdays to Fridays with limited space on Saturdays.
Sewing course is offered by The Sewing Rooms for all skill level. Here at The Sewing Rooms in Putney, we are keen to inspire you and support you in developing and perfecting your own range of designing and sewing skills.
Choose to do this 1:1 or gather some friends, family or colleagues anywhere in the world and join me (Linzi) making my Three Bears floor cushions online. Gather your kit, set aside some space and lets get sewing!
This beautiful sewing pattern has proved incredibly popular with the sewing community and we know you will love making and wearing your own version. We’re teaching this course in October, just as the weather will start to cool down, so you can style your new coat throughout Winter!
The class will work on a project which is set by the tutor. It covers pattern alteration, fabric choice, and fitting, pinning and cutting out. You’ll be shown how to use sewing machines and how to make and finish garments.
