Things you will learn:
The school is owned by Emma Hawkins, a qualified primary school teacher who wanted to combine her love of teaching with her passion for sewing and creativity. Emma has been dressmaking for over 30 years and has run a successful ballgown hire business designing.
And making ballgowns and wedding dresses from home. She has also worked as an assistant costumier with Teresa Gale making period costumes for the Bristol Light Opera Company and The Bristol Hippodrome.
Joining a sewing group or attending a sewing course allows you to meet like minded stitchers and and improve your sewing skills. We know all our sewing instructors and teachers around the UK and you will usually learn new skills on our fantastic machines
If you have ever wondered about the difference between patchwork and quilts, or how quilts are made and fancied having a go, then this introductory course is for you! We will take you through each step of patchwork and quilt making.
Dressmaking classes are offered by Pin and Needles for all skill level. Our dress making classes are held every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evening.
Sewing classes are offered by Crafty Trading for all ages and skill level.
