And if we don't have it, we'll do our best to get it!
And that is why Pottstown Sewing is YOUR "Sew" Happy Place.
In this workshop, we'll discuss basic mending techniques and materials. We'll look at lots of examples and help you come up with a plan for your own visible mend. Please bring with you a piece of clothing or textile that needs to be mended so you can get started with us!
Students master the proper execution of 20 basic, fine dressmaking techniques. Students must bring their personal sewing machines, a binder (to create a sewing notebook), and items from the class supply list at the top of this page.
Learn the basics of sewing with needle and thread as well as some knowledge of the machine. Make beautiful creations from cloth and fiber.
This class is recommended for all students at the beginner level. Student will have sample book for reference even after class has ended. The ideal starting place for future garment construction classes.
This class is for kids 10-16. Learn your way around a sewing machine as you complete a tote bag project. You'll learn how to thread a machine, wind a bobbin, sew a seam and finish raw fabric edges as you construct a tote bag from a kit of upcycled materials
