Balaji Seamen Training Institute was established in 1999 by Mrs.C.Rajammal. Balaji Seamen Training Institute is approved by Director General of Shipping Govt. of India, to conduct pre-sea training and other marine related courses for Seafarers.
Balaji Seamen Training Institute is registered under Educational Trust namely Sri Math Narayana Trust, and Certified ISO 9001:2015 by IRQS .
Objective
Balaji Seamen Training Institute is committed to produce competitive Seafaring professionals by providing Maritime Training of International Standard, meeting the requirement of regulatory authorities.
Basic Safety Training (B.S.T.) course is offered by Trident Institute Of Maritime Studies. Accommodation Available (Including complimentary breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner.)
Basic Safety Training (BSTCW) is offered by United Marine Academy.Training is imparted by qualified and expeirenced faculty members using the latest aids for practical demonstration.
The trainees have to undergo the following STCW (Standard of Training Certification and Watch-keeping) courses during the training period in the academy.
STCW course is offered by tamilnadu fire and safety institute. Tamilnadu fire and safety institute's purpose is to encourage an integreted approach to the reduction of life and property loss from fire through rational fire safety decision making.
STCW’95 (Package) (PSSR, PST, EFA, FPFF) course is offered by OERC Academy. The OERC Academy conducts a number of STCW Modular Courses approved by the Directorate General of Shipping, Government of India.
