If you want to learn guitar or bass from professional entertainers, you've come to the right place. Learn folk, rock, jazz, country, or classical. You may also follow the Royal Conservatory of Music curriculum.
Students ages 6 and up are welcome to take private lessons. If you are 16 and older, just starting guitar, and want to see if you've got the ability to continue, we encourage you to enroll in our 8-week Adult Group Guitar Course.
With more than 40 years of experience in music and teaching, we at The Ottawa Vocal & Instrumental School Of Music provide award-winning instruction to our students.
We are an Ottawa Center of Excellence for Instrument, Singing Lessons and Music Lessons education and performance with guitar lessons and music lessons for piano and other instruments.
All of our teachers have completed the Teacher Training Program of The Ottawa Conservatory of Music and have extensive experience in music and performance. Music lessons piano, guitar, bass, violin, sax, drums, flute, vocal, uke, dance and theory are offered.
We prepare our students for casual performances and beyond. Performance opportunities are available through concerts in our own auditorium and at local venues. We also offer RCM training for the RCM examinations and competitions that are available throughout the year.
Our teachers are friendly, fun, positive and full of energy. They have a real passion for what they do and their teaching reflects that. We keep our teaching methods modern and fresh, as well as build on the basic elements of music to support our students' creativity and passion.
