Travis is in The award winning and SAMA nominated Christian rock band namely “The Plain Truth”. The band is currently rated as one of the top Christian rock bands in South Africa. They have won a Crown Gospel music award for the global chart DVD two years in a row for, “God above the Universe”. In 2009 they were invited to play live at the Crown Gospel music awards where the President of South Africa and world renowned speaker, Paula White were in attendance. This year they were nominated for 2 categories at the MTN 16th annual South African music awards for the new album, “Only one God” and were invited once again to play live on the main night of the SAMAs collaborating with top African gospel artist, Solly Mahlangu who is also a SAMA winning artist. With the SAMAs being the most viewed show in South Africa, The Plain Truth were seen by approximately 5 million viewers on the night. This year they got invited to play at the TBN conference in East London to play at the “Get Ready” conference where they played live to 30 countries across Africa, which was a great success. Later that year they got invited once again by TBN Africa to play at the “8 Days of Glory” conference which was also aired live across the whole of Africa. The Plain Truth can be seen a lot on the TBN channel (one of the biggest Christian networks in the country), One gospel channel, magazines and newspaper articles. The Plain Truth shot a music video for their popular single, “We won’t stay silent” which was played extensively on television a couple of weeks after the single being recorded. The Plain Truth also heads the Praise and Worship at Christian Family Church every Sunday night to an attendance of around 2500 people.
