  • Be able to use safe and effective methods of working when improving and maintaining facial skin condition

  • Understand organisational and legal requirements
  • Understand how to work safely and effectively when providing facial treatments

  • Understand anatomy and physiology that relates to facial skin care treatments
  • Understand contra-indications that affect or restrict facial skin care treatments
  • Understand facial skin care techniques, products and treatment planning
  • Understand the aftercare advice to provide clients for facial care treatments
  • Unit 7: Enhance the appearance of eyebrows and eyelashes
  • By the end of this unit the learner will be able to:
  • Be able to use safe and effective methods of working providing eyebrow and eyelash treatments
  • Be able to consult, plan and prepare for the treatment with clients
  • Be able to shape eyebrows
  • Be able to tint eyebrows and lashes
  • Be able to apply artificial eyelashes
  • Understand organisational and legal requirements
  • Understand how to work safely and effectively when providing eyebrow and eyelash treatments
  • Understand how to perform client consultation, treatment planning and preparation
  • Understand how to shape the eyebrows
  • Understand how to tint the eyebrows and lashes
  • Understand how to apply artificial lashes
  • Understand the contra-indications and contra-actions that affect or restrict eyebrow and eyelash treatments
  • Know the equipment, materials and products to use when carrying out eyebrow and eyelash treatments
  • Unit 8: Provide make-up and instruct clients in the use of skin care products and make-up
  • By the end of this unit the learner will be able to:
  • Be able to use safe and effective working methods when providing make-up services
  • Be able to consult, plan and prepare for make-up
  • Be able to apply make-up products
  • Know the organisational and legal requirements related to make-up application
  • Know how to work safely and effectively when providing make-up services
  • Know how to use client consultation, treatment planning and preparation for make-up services
  • Know anatomy and physiology related to make-up
  • Know the contra-indications and contra-actions of make-up
  • Know how to apply make-up
  • Know how to provide aftercare advice for clients following make-up services
  • Unit 9: Provide manicure and pedicure services
  • By the end of this unit the learner will be able to:
  • Be able to use safe and effective methods of working when providing manicure services
  • Be able to consult, plan and prepare for the service with clients
  • Be able to carry out manicure services
  • Understand organisational and legal requirements
  • Be able to carry out pedicure services
  • Understand how to work safely and effectively when providing pedicure services
  • Unit 10: Carry out waxing services
  • By the end of this unit the learner will be able to:
  • Be able to use safe and effective methods of working when waxing
  • Be able to consult, plan and prepare for waxing treatments with clients
  • Be able to remove unwanted hair
  • Understand organisational and legal requirements
  • Understand how to work safely and effectively when providing waxing treatments
  • Understand how to consult, plan and prepare for the treatment
  • Know anatomy and physiology that relates to waxing treatment
  • Understand contra-indications that affect or restrict waxing treatments
  • Understand equipment, materials, products, techniques and treatment planning for waxing
  • Be able to provide aftercare advice for clients

 

Entry Requirements:

  • No experience or previous qualifications are required for enrolment on this course.
  • Minimum age restriction
  • You must be aged 16 or older to enrol.
  • Average completion timeframe
  • The average time it takes our learners to complete the course is 1 year.
  • Assessment requirements
  • After each lesson, there will be a question paper to complete.
  • Placement or Practical required
  • There are no placements or practicals involved in this course.
