This enables candidates to insure themselves to work in the beauty industry, independently or as a mobile therapist. This also enables the student to obtain licensing via local council and or local government to carry out specialist treatments.
You will also receive a professional training manual to help guide you through the treatments you have learned to give you the complete confidence needed to provide these treatments within the beauty industry.

Week 1 – Full salon Health & Safety:
Methods used to sterilise and sanitise salon tools and equipment. Client consultations, contra indications. Skin diseases & disorders. A&P of relevant bones, muscles, circulatory, lymphatic and nervous systems. Treatment preparation and trolley set up. All materials and their use. Positioning the client for treatment. Various massage mediums and their use. Benefits and effects of massage on the body. Demonstrations of massage routines and techniques on arms and legs. Practice session for students to perform massage routines and techniques on arms and legs, aftercare and homecare advice.
Week 2 – (Mini assessment on previous week):
Product knowledge to skin types and professional products used. All materials and their use. Contra-indications to using oils and per-blended aromatherapy oil products. Types of pre-blended oils suitable for relaxation, sense of well being and uplift. Identification of general therapeutic effects of oils and choosing pre-blended oils to meet emotional and physical needs. Use and application of carrier oils for various skin types. Full demonstrations of massage techniques and routines for back, neck and shoulder massage. Aftercare and homecare advice. Practice session for students to perform back, neck and shoulder massage.
Week 3 – (Mini assessment on previous week):
The physical and physiological effects of massage on clients, adapting your massage routines to suit individual clients needs. Combining all massage routines and techniques learned and performing a full body massage treatment including client consultation, contra-indications to massage and contra-actions. Aftercare and homecare advice. Practice sessions for students to perform full body massages.
