About
Calling all sewers, embroiders, quilters and more!
Sewtown, Inc. has been specializing in top of the line sewing, serger, embroidery & quilting machines for over 40 years. As an authorized dealer for brands such as Husqvarna-Viking, Brother, Janome & Singer, our stores in Fort Smith, AR ( Central Sewing Center) and Tulsa, OK (Sewing Machines of Tulsa), offer local sales and service with a hometown smile. Just ask our loyal customers with grandmothers & mothers before them that have been coming back ever since they bought their very first machine.
Classes are 2 hours sessions. We offer group classes or private sessions Tuesday-Thursday. Sewing And Fitting Your Garment course is offered by Silver Needle And Thread.
In this workshop, you'll start by making one small block using Foundation Paper Piecing. Then you'll repeat that block three more times and join them all together at the end! All materials will be provided for you.
Do you find yourself wishing you knew how to alter your own clothes? In this class you will practice the following basic alterations: side seams, darts, hand and machine hems. You will also learn and practice specific fitting techniques.
Sewing techniques include: installing zippers, hemming pants, pockets, Hong Kong seams, how to sew a sleeve (set a sleeve) using different textiles, and much more!
Come to the studio for an hour. Bring your machine (and manual if you have it) and we’ll get you on your way to sewing. The Time Is Now!
