We follow the Scottish Official Highland Dancing Association syllabus from beginners to full teachers.
There is also the opportunity to take part in competitions and displays. Highland dancing is a fantastic way to keep fit and requires strength, balance, stamina and coordination. Classes start from the age of 3 years.
Our highly qualified faculty teaches dance classes for all ages, from beginners right up to adults.
Dunedin Dance Academy has been running in Edinburgh and North Berwick for the last 20 years. We value family and accept individuals of all abilities, and this has made our school go from strength to strength.

Our credits include: The Paralympics, Kingdom FM’s Local Hero Awards, Diamond Kids for the Queens Jubilee, Disneyworld Florida, and the national winners of Britain Does Variety 2012.

We offer annual exams in all genres of dance, including Ballet, Tap & Highland, various shows throughout the year and our annual trip to Germany for the World Wide Music & Dance Festival. There really is something for everyone.
It's our national dance style where we wear our customary Scottish outfits. Many different dances are taught including ‘The Highland Fling’ and ‘The Sword Dance’ building up on our technique, stamina and precision.
