The Beginning Fashion Design Program introduces the student to the industry procedures of patternmaking, apparel construction and fashion drawing. The program also includes a study of textiles & apparel manufacturing. The program is designed to allow students to develop their design work into a mini-collection of 3 looks.
This program (Day Classes or Night Classes) is available to all graduates of the Fashion Merchandising Module “A” Program.

Ms. Farrell, a fashion entrepreneur for over 40 years has owned 15 retail fashion boutiques, in New York, Aruba, Las Vegas, and California.

In January 2001, Ms. Farrell founded FCI Fashion School to help students attain their dreams of working in the fashion industry or start their own line of clothing.
In this class you will learn the fundamentals of needlepoint - continental and basket weave stitches.
Basic sewing lessons are offered on a one-on-one basis, so you have the teacher's undivided attention and can work at your own pace.
Bring your knitting needles and crochet hooks and join me on this journey! My hope is that The Knitting Otter is a place where you can go to shop, sit and knit, crochet, learn from each other and make new friends. Â
Students can bring an unfinished project for help, a pattern they would like to make, including quilts, bags and miscellaneous items. You must sign up 1 week prior to the class. Payment is required online at the time of registration.
Class Learn to read, create and modify flat patterns for various types of clothing. Understand pattern development, terminology and tools used for drafting. The basic rules for pattern and design, move darts to various positions and use pivot and slash methods alone or combination.
