Located in the heart of DC in Dupont Circle, Looped carries a variety of yarns, notions and publications to inspire and get you moving on whatever project you have in mind. Our experienced staff are friendly and always ready to help.
We offer knit and crochet nights, classes, special events and meet ups. You are also invited to sit and work on your project any time the shop is open. Come visit on your lunch break, after work or just to pass the time. We love to have people hang out and do their thing.
Transition from observer to creator. This workshop is designed for people who have no previous knitting experience and for those wanting to begin again. Come as you are and we will bring to life your creative hands! We will begin with the fundamental building blocks of knitting.
Need some focus time on your quilting project? This is the perfect time! Utilize our sewing space with large tables and expert guidance while you work on your own project.
In this class you will learn the basics of knitting - Cast On and Knit Stitch - while working towards your first project.
You've pieced it. You've quilted it (or someone has). Now you're ready to finish this puppy!! Come learn how to make binding and bind a sample quilt using your sewing machine (as well as some hand stitching) and have it turn out beautifully!
This 1.5-hour introductory or refresher class covers all of the how-to-knit basics, namely casting on, knitting, binding off & finishing, while starting your first "real" project from a pattern, a stylish-yet-cozy hat.
