Beginning Quilting 2

Explore Strip Quilting, Half Square Triangles and Mitered Borders. Jayne will provide fabric on day one for you to practice these skills and review basic skills from Beginning Quilting 1. Come with whatever quilt project you would like to work on. Come ready to cut or pre-cut and ready to start sewing. Homework: Finish blocks at home.

At session two come to class with your blocks assembled and complete your quilt project. Review the process of assembling quilt layers, machine quilting and adding binding.

This 2-session course of 3 hours each class is taught by Certified Palmer & Pletsch Sewing Instructor, Jayne Vetter. Jayne is a licensed Family & Consumer Science/Career & Technical Educator and has taught High School Textile & Design classes for over 30 years in the Portland area.

Pre-requisite:

Builds on techniques addressed in the Beginning Quilting: 4-Patch class. Confident beginner, familiar with their sewing machine.
