Beginning Quilting A-Z (2 Day Class)

Any class supplies you purchase at Quilt Patch will be 15% off.

• sewing machine (in good working order), the foot pedal and power cords, and the manual (to be on the safe side!).
• Simple Squares handout
• fabrics according to handout
• cutting mat no smaller than 18 x 24
• rotary cutter (45mm)
• 6.5” x 24.5” ruler
• neutral thread
• 1/4” foot for your machine (if you have one)
• sewing kit basics: straight pins (fine), small scissors, seam ripper

 These items will get us started on the first day of class. For the second day you will also need the following, which we will talk about in class:

• a walking foot/even feed foot for your machine (if you have one)
• marking tool that shows up on your fabrics
• 24” x 36” table runner batting
• safety pins (smaller is better-I like size 0)
• thread for quilting (this can match or contrast, it’s up to you)
