Beginning Sampler Quilt Class This is by far our most popular beginning quilting class. You’ll begin.
Description:
This is by far our most popular beginning quilting class. You’ll begin with a free shopping session with introduction to color and design theory in selecting your fabrics.
Then you’ll learn how to construct a sampler quilt top by accurately cutting fabric and sewing blocks that are the “building blocks” for most quilt patterns. Included is how to sew a sashing, border, and bind your quilt. Most students use our longarm services to have their top quilted so it’s one and done!
Quilt’n’Things has been in the community since 1984. Originally located in downtown Montrose, it’s now in La Crescenta at 3704 ½ Foothill Blvd. Owner Lana Norton, a former Art Historian and Museum Educator, prides herself in a beautifully curated collection of fabric.
From a variety of manufacturers and talented designers. From Nani Iro, to Liberty of London, to Birch Organics, the shelves are full of bolts to help you realize your sewing dreams. Currently customers can shop on-line or by appointment.
Accomplish Quilting Staff and special guest teachers offer a whole array of classes, training and events. We pride ourselves in the quality and experience of our instructors. Some are staff while others are celebrity and "of special note" instructors.
Quilting course is offered by Savage Quilters. The Savage Quilter is a full service quilt shop with over 9,000 bolts and the largest selection of fine quality quilting fabrics in Oklahoma.
Adults who want to learn to knit can sign up for a single class or an ongoing session of four 1.5 hour classes. All materials are provided, or you're welcome to bring your own pattern, needles and yarn. Learn to cast on and make a simple scarf or hat. No experience is necessary!
With decades of experience, we provide yarn and accessories along instruction and classes in both knit and crochet. This private class is available by appointment. Materials are available for purchase.
We’ll take cut up ‘beads’ from aluminum knitting needles and use the wonderful palette of colors to make 3 pairs of bright and unique recycled material earrings to keep or give as gifts!
