What you say and how you say it, has an impact!

If you struggle to make decisions in your team or organisation or find that discussions in meetings never seem to reach a desirable outcome, the chances are that it is the contributions of the participants that is causing the issue and not the topic itself.

Behavioural Analysis evaluates and measures what people say to each other in a given situation.

A sportsman does not reach the top of their sport by talent and luck – they perform, measure, then review their performance, then try to improve where the review highlights opportunities.

Behavioural Analysis allows the same dynamic of perform, measure, review and improve to take place where communication may not be working.

The approach

The people we are with in any given situation has an enormous influence on our behaviour.

This two day course uses Behaviour Analysis as a training tool for categorising, observing and recording verbal behaviour. This allows analytical identification of the behaviours that will allow you to more regularly achieve successful outcomes and positive momentum in your meetings.

How would it work (in brief)?

This programme provides a powerful technique which will help raise delegates’ self awareness about their behaviour and its effect on others.

The facilitator will record exactly what happens during an interaction across 14 different behaviour types, and provide data back to you.

This allows participants to become more aware of the behaviour they choose for a given situation and to compare this with the appropriate competence model.

Objectives

Following completion of the training and subsequent embedding, delegates will be able to

  • Identify the 14 behaviour categories • Understand the impact of their behaviour on others

  • Interpret the behaviour of others and give positive and objective feedback

  • Better manage conflicts by using appropriate behaviours

  • Understand the differences between “push” and ”pull” influencing styles and the associated behaviours

  • Make a behavioural plan to which participants are committed and which will enable them to make positive behavioural change
