The Birth to Three course is a short course offered by Centre for Creative Education (CCE) to assist caregivers, teachers and parents in the caring of small children. It does not lead to any formal qualification.
The Birth to Three course is a short course offered by Centre for Creative Education (CCE) to assist caregivers, teachers and parents in the caring of small children. It does not lead to any formal qualification. However, CCE issues a Certificate of Attendance once all course requirements have been met and the fees paid in full.
Throughout the Birth to Three course, the carers/teachers are awakened to the importance of learning about child development, age-appropriate activities in morning ring, craft, art and play.
The course is based on Waldorf educational principles and the programme includes:
Creating a healthy environment for babies
Child development
Overview of the 12 senses
Love and humanity, relationships
Rhythms and routines
Being a worthy role model
Hand crafts
Course Outline:
Two weeks of module training, held on consecutive afternoons over two weeks, Mondays to Fridays.
Regular site visits by our mentors throughout the year.
One afternoon a month for further training, consisting of 10 sessions in all.
Two follow-up workshops per year.
