A Cryptocurrency is a digital form of money and it is free of government control or interference. Its generation and use is monitored on a peer-to-peer internet protocol. It uses encrypted string of data, known as hash, which signifies a unit of currency.

A blockchain, originally blockchain, is a growing list of records, called blocks, that are linked using cryptography. Each block contains a cryptographic hash of the previous block, a timestamp, and transaction data (generally represented as a Merkle tree).

This course delves into blockchain technology architecture and the inner workings of blockchains by exploring a series of key design patterns, techniques and related architectural models, along with common technology mechanisms used to customize and optimize blockchain application designs.

A Blockchain is a Dispersed, assigned, digital ledger that is used to record transactions across many computers so that any involved transaction cannot be altered, without the alteration of all subsequent blocks.

A blockchain is essentially a distributed database of records or public ledger of all transactions or digital events that have been executed and shared among participating parties. Each transaction in the public ledger is verified by consensus of a majority of the participants in the system.
